  • IAS Madhu Rani Teotia's husband was IPS Narendra Kumar Singh, who was crushed to death by a mining mafia in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, by a tractor.

  • Despite this profound loss, she demonstrated remarkable resilience, giving birth to their child just days after the incident and advocating for justice.

  • Madhu Rani and her husband were also posted in the MP state cadre. After her husband's death, Madhu Rani had appealed for a cadre change. Considering it a special case, the central government allowed her to change her cadre in such a situation. After this, she was shifted to the AGMUT cadre.
