Norman Llewellyn was born in 1949 in Todd’s Island near Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada. His nickname is Norm and suffers from Down’s syndrome. During that era, the children born like him used to not live above the age of 15 years. He was the boy who never talked with anyone else. Now he is of 54 years old & loves newspapers.

Like other children, Norm spent his childhood with parents but later he was put into the foster-care. Although his sister Karen used to love him the lot and later she brought him back and now he stays with her. Norm is now suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.


Down Syndrome is a very notorious disorder and it has been found that some people even left their girlfriends who had the genetic history of down syndrome. Down syndrome is basically a genetic condition and not an illness or disease. Our body is made up of many tissues which are further made up of cells and each cell has DNA in our chromosomes.

A person with Down Syndrome has 47 chromosomes instead of 46. According to a survey, every baby in 900 may have this disorder of extra chromosome 21. The major setback of this disorder is an intellectual disability, whole development gets delayed and there is the problem in learning habit.
